Listen up people the business between the Nightlife and the VFW is strictly that and all these comments and rumors that the veterans did them wrong is totally false. This did not just happen overnight and it has been weeks in the making, the owner Mark Oliveira gave the members 3 options to choose from because he was not wanting to continue with the business as it was. The members of the facility were given a letter prior by email explaining his position and were instructed by him to review each option and get back with him on what the members chose to do. no matter what we chose to do Mark Oliveira was done with it, Everything you all have been hearing as far as us just closing them up is false the Nightlife and the VFW have tried to work it out as Kylie J. Oliveira stated in her video message it was a financial agreement that they could no longer afford to pay nothing more and nothing less, it happens and for people to add more into is a discredit to the veterans of VFW Post 2599 and is totally wrong on your part. We have always maintained that they did their best they worked hard at it, sometimes things are meant to be and sometimes they are not, this was not one of those times. One thing you need to realize is they came over a lot of obstacles just to get where they were and to get it up and running again after being kicked off Main Street; but remember no matter what they had to overcome they brought you all or anyone who patronized the facility a place to come and enjoy yourselves. Are there going to be people that are upset about it sure there is, its another business down the drain but it is not by the hands of the veterans of this facility or anyone else, once presented with the options we still had to keep our place going and we plan on doing just that and try to provide a place for our veterans and the citizens of Aroostook county. We are one of few places here in Presque Isle that has live bands, and we will increase on that but we are going to need your help to do this if all you are going to do is bash us on facebook then you are doing nothing worthwhile but hurting this place and making yourselves look ignorant.
