Listened to a debate about homelessness on Radio 4 and how it affects the young with a major increase in homelessness as young people on low incomes are being forced out of the private rented section. It might be a London only problem ( although I doubt it). I am really conflicted as I have been asked to sign a petition opposing home building in a part of Leek. There was a similar matter over the plans to build on a brown field site in Leek earlier this year. Its as if people who live in houses say Im Alright Jack to those who are not so fortunate. Unfortunately the demographics make uncomfortable reading as the population grows, gets older and more atomised as more people live on their own. It is becoming an impossible circle to square and perhaps politician should point this out
