Listening to the radio this morning the political parties were wringing their hands over the rising number of unemployed people & making noises about trying to ensure school leavers have the opportunity for a job if only for 6 months. The thought occurred to me they have the opportunity to substantially cut unemployment all they need do is put retirement age back to where it was before they started messing about with it. Its hardly surprising there are no jobs for those coming into the job market when they stop those at the other end from retiring.
