Listening to your posts today Im just thinking your day has been filled with those eye popping moments . . . Dennis Teston Bernice Teston sometimes things just open up before us and fortunately we have enough of our senses to allow such moments to have their say. I was thinking after reading your post about the water of that ancient piece of parchment from Isaiah who is open to those moments as well, in a vision he sees a river, invited to step into it . . . [please its got to be seen, experienced] first he is ankle-deep, then knee-deep, then up to his waist, finally the water rises to a level where the story says it was a river that could not be crossed, certainly not with any sense of certainty, only faith, only trust, that even when the feet dont touch, even when the currents defy us, even when you cant see to the bottom, even when the waters terrify us, we will still bravely move into it, knowing we can never tame it or control it, but also assured that such rapids lead to a place called temple. [Isaiah 47:3-6] And I love that final question, Mortal, have you seen this? Your post brought me back to that place, that place of being in over my head and understanding that its OK. Such places might even be the most holy. Below is a video Lois found last night, it speaks of being in over our heads from a big picture sort of view. You have to turn it way up and watch it on as big a screen as possible. The lyrics cut right to that core place, inviting one to step into the deep, into the thin and dangerously holy places under us, over us and beyond us . . . Im thinking you might enjoy it.
