Little Egg Harbor Twp. Police Press Release: On 10-31-14 at 10:10pm police were called to the Harbour Island shopping plaza for a report of a physical fight between two males. Police checked the area and made contact with two males outside the Mystic Casino who appeared to be in an altercation. One of the males, Jason Bantum, age 25 of Ohio was highly intoxicated. Bantum was not cooperative with police and became verbally abusive and aggressive with officers. When officers attempted to place Bantum under arrest he resisted arrest, after a brief struggle Bantum was placed in handcuffs. After being placed in handcuffs and escorted to the police vehicle Bantum continued to resist police officers control and was combative. Bail was set at $10,000 for resisting arrest, he was further charged with disorderly conduct. Bantum was transported to the Ocean County Jail in default of bail. Corporal Chris Arciniegas and Patrolman Dan Ivancich were the arresting officers, assisted by Patrolmen Edward McNally and Brian Smith.
