Little Parkie Park, 6 years ago this minute, was making me think the same thing hes making me think right now...God, why couldnt you just let me sleep a little longer!??!? Lol! My baby is 6 today and starts 1st grade in a little over 2 weeks. Its been a very bumpy road with him and some days I was sure one of wouldnt make it out alive, but in spite of everything, here we are. Hes taught me more about myself in his short 6 years than I could ever teach him in a lifetime; how to turn off the need to hurry through everything and just enjoy the moment for the sake of the moment, patience beyond what I ever thought I could possess...its been tough for both of us but Id never trade one second Ive had this insanely bouncy creature in my life. For all hes cost me, primarily several wet cell phones, 3 keyboards, 3 computer mouses, a mic and webcam, innumerable DVDs, a good chunk of my sanity, likely shaved the last 5 years off of my life, Lol...Id still do it all over again. Yeah, you have to be a little masochistic to be a mom, but you have to be a freaking SUPER HERO to be the mom of an autistic kid with severe ADHD. So on with the cape and off to make his ridiculously layered birthday cake..Happy birthday, my little natural disaster! ;-)
