Little by little, a little becomes a lot Mackenzie has been making slow progress every day for the past 117 days. Today we are about 36 hours off cpap and onto 1.5 liters of oxygen. She will continue weaning off of her last continuously infused medication as she tolerates it. The goal is to get her off these meds and transfer her other meds to a form that is given through her gtube. If these changes are made she will not need central access which would allow them to remove her last picc line. Mackenzie has come a long way but still has a long way to go. We are doing our best to make sure that along with medical progress Mackenzie is making developmental progress as well. She has music therapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy making visits to her. We also do our best to keep her reaching the same developmental milestones as her sister. Here is daddy working on tracking, reaching and grabbing and hand eye coordination. We want the best life possible for Mackenzie and she refuses to let her situation hold her back, so we are doing the same for her. Thank you for the continued thoughts and prayers.
