Little interview with someone from Gold Coast Yachts (not the Oz Gold Coast). Sailing multis and many power multis are moving away from pure semi circular sections. Circular sections only have best wetted surface to volume ratio at one displacement. A flattened stern can reduce pitching significantly A flattened but narrow entry can also help damp pitching but also start providing significant lift at higher speeds. I like their trimaran idea floating on its sea of electrons. It is more likely to get to float on real water with Gold Coast than many others.
