Little known fact about our family... aside from our passion for helping our fellow non-human animal friends, we are also more than happy to help our fellow human friends. Many kiddos and friends of Twiggy and I have lived with us and been treated as one of our own, throughout the years. All of this was with the agreement of our oldest sweet boy, Devon. He, without hesitation and every time the occasion arose, agreed to split what normally would be allotted for him (supplies, Christmas presents and clothing wise) so that we could open our home to people who needed us. This included but was not limited to taking care of a friend who was in terrible accident that left him unable to care for himself... 24/7 care... out of pocket... no help from much of anyone else and no agencies. When he decided that he wanted to live with us, without hesitation, all of us said yes. Thats how we roll. We were able to roll a lot more easily when we had our business but nothing good lasts forever. I am thrilled to see that the spirit of compassion and comradery has been passed down to his little brothers, as well. This makes my heart explode with happiness! Gav goes out of his way to try to understand why a child who bullies in school acts the way that he does, he calls that child his friend and acts accordingly, he rescues (on his own) non-human animal friends and follows through with their care and rehoming or release back into the wild, Max is a valiant champion of the veg lifestyle. Animals are his friends. It would be ludicrous to him to eat them. He has come to this conclusion, by his own reasoning. All of them... such loving, compassionate people... my babies.... my heroes! Thanks, Universe! Even though the successful business, house in Swellsville, etc... are gone I am rich, beyond measure ♥
