Little moment with my soon-to-be 13 year old (Nov 7) this morning before he heads out to football practice. We were sitting on the porch in the dark waiting for his ride. I shared with him that seventh grade for me was really difficult and it was a hard year for me for a variety of reasons. I told him that a scripture I wish I knew was Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I had him say it a few times. I told him I wish I had this scripture because sometimes you feel like you cant do something even when you REALLY try and that is when you look to God and trust Him to help you get through it. Stop looking at yourself and look to God for help. I think he got it. Then it occurred to be that this was the perfect scripture to talk about with him because it is 4 a 13 teen year old-Philippians 4:13. A great scripture for anyone to hold onto to. God bless.
