..Little story about accepting auditions for small roles... Some years ago one of our actresses went to Alabama to audition for a role where all she did was scream (this was before taped auditions were accepted). The role called for the actor to be in a bathroom stall and scream, well of course she tried to think of a way to be different so she went behind the screen, sat down on the chair pulled down her panty hose and screamed as loud as she could. When she stepped back out from behind the screen everyone at the casting table was laughing and clapping. She did not get that role but a few months later the director of that film, hired her for a 6 week role on "Somersby" with Jodi Foster and Richard Gere. She made an impression with a one liner..well actually a scream. Just recently one of actors did a one day role on a TV series and from that has been contacted about a big role on a film the director is working on now. Just waiting to hear about the details. "There are no small roles only small actors" as the phrase goes, just do the best you can on any role you get a chance to audition or are booked for because you never know what the next project that director/producer/writer will be doing and think of the GREAT job you did on that "one liner" !
