Little story from USA. I had an opportunity to go on an adventure by myself. To get to the point I ended up in the ghetto via wrong bus and met a few who live in those conditions (originally scared for my life ha!), was sitting on the bus listening to Les Brown (motivational speaker) and so were they (lucky haha) so we chatted about his speeches and what they meant for us, but after telling them I was from Australia their eyes lit up. They kept saying how I came from the blessed country, the true land of the free. I heard how rough they were doing it over in USA, and I was shocked to hear - basically how some of them were living in a third world country inside a first world country. But despite the struggle, they have hope in being successful one day, they continue to get up day after day (living out of homes the size of bathrooms) and work to their full potential, study (even though their school was shot up) to the best of their abilities (whatever talent they might pursue). I played basketball in a rusted park with a few of them and I was exposed to why they are so great at sports. Thats all they have. They practiced every moment of their free time. I free styled with a few underground rappers, again this trait of finding something, sticking to it, and practicing every day followed me everywhere I explored, getting up no matter what and continuing to do what they love till they become master at it. I guess its because their life literally depends on it. Whether it makes them money, builds fame, or even keeps the sanity in tact. This post is kinda all over the place, and who knows wholl read it, like it, or whatever. But for that one person who really sees this. My words are simple. 1. For those in Aus. Your so blessed man. The place we live in, the resources we have access too, the freshness of the food we eat. Just appreciate it. and, 2. Whatever you want out of life, go hunting for it, make it your purpose. Create meaning behind your existence, get up and dont ever give up. Every second has the potential to be an opportunity. You never know, you could get to where you want to be in the next few seconds, but if you miss that one moment, it may put you back a week, two weeks, months, years. Every second that ticks by gets louder as you get older....
