Live Stress-free! Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God (Philippians 4:6). In 3 John 1:2, the Apostle John writes, Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. The Lord actually desires for you to live a stress-free life, and not one that’s fettered and troubled by the cares of this world. Our opening verse tells us to be careful for nothing. This is because, in Christ, you already have everything you require for an extraordinary life (2 Peter 1:3). However, out of ignorance of the Word, many today suffer depression occasioned by stress. Some are so depressed they’ve had to resort to pills to get by each day, instead of acting on the Word. The Apostle James attributed stress, conflicts, and wars in the lives of some Christians to the carnal cravings that lurk within them: From whence come wars and fightings among you? Come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? (James 4:1). Embrace the Master’s invitation to a stress-free life. He said in Matthew 11:28, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Prayer Dear Father, I thank you for bringing me into my place of rest, success, victory, and dominion in Christ Jesus, where I reign and rule as a king in this life. I’m kept in perfect peace, having set my gaze continually on your eternal Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. further study: Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 6:25-32 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
