Live in Seattle (or want to)? Are you passionate about music, yet also have a background in design, advertising, or media? Want to help shape the image of brands through music? Mood Media is seeking a Music Designer. Summary Mood Media is seeking a Music Designer to conceptualize and manage branded music concepts for national corporate clients, keep abreast of music trends, and coordinate client relations. A Music Designer is responsible for choosing music to capture the essence of a brand or an experience design concept. As a result, the ideal candidate must have a deep passion for music and will need to have a creatively focused background, having worked for a creative design company (design, advertising, radio, television, film, architecture), or being a recent graduate of an arts/design or marketing based program. And, while they must ultimately demonstrate significant creativity in the job, he/she must also demonstrate discipline and a strong corporate acumen, as they will be working with many different brands in many different industries. Specifications This position will be charged directly with the creation and ongoing delivery of a catalog of music programs as well as custom programming for a variety of client brands. A willingness to embrace and manage some of the operational aspects of music products and production as well as an appetite for the business of creating brand experiences is critical. Participating in opportunity assessments and new product design and development are regular expectations. Understanding the competitive landscape and relating our product offerings to the marketplace and industry trends will be very important. In addition, the successful candidate will possess the following: •Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent •Strong independent research skills •An expert in at least one category of music •The ability to create Music Design concepts and demonstrate a solid understanding of brand marketing and pop culture trends •Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written •A deep appreciation of the relationship between strategic thinking, design, and client success •The ability to set priorities and handle multiple objectives in constrained time frames. •Ability and flexibility to meet or exceed some very demanding deadlines •Ability to participate successfully in a team environment •Creative & flexible thinking, an open mind, and good problem solving skills •Ability to interact decisively and diplomatically •Ability to work successfully within a multinational, fast-paced, competitive environment •Comfort with computers and popular software applications •Ability to listen to music for extended periods of time •Willingness to travel occasionally Apply online at https://www1.apply2jobs/Moodmedia/ProfExt/index.cfm?fuseaction=mExternal.showJob&RID=248&CurrentPage=2
