Live in the Wellingborough area and would like to volunteer for Northamptonshire Police? Staff from our volunteer team will be at a job fair in Wellingborough next week to offer advice on volunteering for the force. Advice will be available on all the volunteering opportunities on offer, including becoming a special constable or joining the cadet scheme for young people. Other volunteer roles on offer vary from spotting speeding drivers as part of Community Speed Watch, working with local safer community teams, behind the scenes roles in departments including the intelligence bureau and hate crime unit, through to acting as a crowd member in public order and riot training. The job fair, organised by the Borough Council of Wellingborough and The Mallows Company, is being held at Wellingborough library from 10am to 1pm on Tuesday 5 November.
