Liverpool Icon: Chelsea Will Have A “Big Say” In The Title Race Former Liverpool defender and vice-captain Jamie Carragher believes the winner of Liverpool vs Manchester City will be favourites for the Premier League but Chelsea will still have a say. Chelsea lost at Crystal Palace recently and lost ground on Liverpool and Manchester City but Carragher believes that, despite one of Liverpool or Man City potentially becoming the favourites to win the title, the Blues from London can still have a big say in the title race. Indeed, Chelsea are just two points behind Liverpool and still to travel to Anfield before the season ends so they themselves are not quite out of the race. Carragher said: “I think this game could settle the title race but Chelsea do have a little say in it with them coming to Anfield. “If City win it’s going to be difficult for anyone else. If Liverpool win, Chelsea have still got to come to Anfield and if City beat Liverpool and Chelsea win later on Sunday against Swansea they’d be right back in it as well. “Chelsea have got a big say in the title because they play Liverpool. “Jose Mourinho doesn’t lose many big games so that game between Chelsea and Liverpool is going to be difficult for both sides. “I do think that if City win it’s going to be difficult for Liverpool to catch them but whoever wins this game will become favourites for the title.”
