Liverpool Like Arsenal, Liverpool have had a fine start to the season. This has mainly been due to their sensational strike force: SAS. Suarez and Sturridge have been simply sublime for Liverpool. In the early part of the season, in the absence of Suarez (who was still serving a ban for that Ivanovic bite) Sturridge scored in almost every game, and Liverpool won those games 1-0. Their solid defence and goalkeeper have also contributed to their form, and in Coutinho and Gerrard, Liverpool have no problem in central-midfield. However, they need better wingers, and they do not have enough depth to challenge for the title, so obviously Rogers needs to bring in some more players in January. Victor Moses has played well during his loan spell at Liverpool, but they need a good winger on the other side as well. With Nani out of favour at Old Trafford, he could be worth a punt, and Rodgers has already shown he is prepared to take risks in the transfer market, such as the loan signing of Moses. Liverpool also need a right-back, to provide competition to Glen Johnson. A move for Shaktar right-back Darijo Srna could be worth a try. The Croatian has impressed for a season and a half now, and would be a great value signing for Liverpool. However, the key to a successful January transfer window for Liverpool will be to keep star asset Suarez. Having tried to move in the Summer, Rogers needs to convince Suarez that Liverpool is his best option. This has to be Liverpools priority.
