Liverpool Liver Birds beat Tyldesley Pelican 10 to 5 in the first ever Central Lancashire Ladies Water polo development League fixture. The new league has been set up with the support of Central Lancashire Swimming and Water Polo Association and Swim North West. Carlisle aquatics, Lancaster Ladies, Leeds Sharks, Liverpool Liver Birds, Manchester Barracudas and Tyldesley Pelicans have joined the league The aim of the league is to provide competition on a regional basis to develop players and support clubs who may wish to join the league in the future. Clubs will be encouraged to have a mixture of Senior, University and Junior players.
