Liverpool are ready to make a £25million move for Lazar Markovic - with the super Serb willing to come, reports the Sunday Peoples Alan Nixon. The Kop chief has been on midfield magician Markovics trail for months as People Sport first revealed. But now the £30million valuation is falling - and Liverpool also understand that Markovic is keen to come. Liverpool feared Chelsea would come in late with a move for Markovic, but the word from the players camp is that he prefers Anfield. Now Rodgers hopes a price can be agreed fast, with Liverpools chances set for a boost if Benfica can find a replacement.
