Living Life Gods Way Numbers 24:1-9 NLT[1] By now Balaam realized that the Lord was determined to bless Israel, so he did not resort to divination as before. Instead, he turned and looked out toward the wilderness, [2] where he saw the people of Israel camped, tribe by tribe. Then the Spirit of God came upon him, [3] and this is the message he delivered: This is the message of Balaam son of Beor, the message of the man whose eyes see clearly, [4] the message of one who hears the words of God, who sees a vision from the Almighty, who bows down with eyes wide open: [5] How beautiful are your tents, O Jacob; how lovely are your homes, O Israel! [6] They spread before me like palm groves, like gardens by the riverside. They are like tall trees planted by the Lord, like cedars beside the waters. [7] Water will flow from their buckets; their offspring have all they need. Their king will be greater than Agag; their kingdom will be exalted. [8] God brought them out of Egypt; for them he is as strong as a wild ox. He devours all the nations that oppose him, breaking their bones in pieces, shooting them with arrows. [9] Like a lion, Israel crouches and lies down; like a lioness, who dares to arouse her? Blessed is everyone who blesses you, O Israel, and cursed is everyone who curses you. Eyes to see and ears to hear... A person whose eyes have been opened and can clearly see and has vision from the Almighty will look for ways to be a blessing. Their ears have been opened as well and they listen to the Word of God and obey it because they know their obedience will bring blessings. They can detect what is from God and what is not from God. What is from God is blessed and what is not from God is cursed! Eyes to see and ears to hear are the most important factors in telling it like it is. If you know the truth and have true discernment you will bless what God blesses! Israel as a nation and a people have been blessed by God. Israel belongs to God! What God calls blessed is blessed and what God calls cursed is cursed! God, Himself, has declared Israel as His nation and His people! Whoever comes against Israel is coming against God! Not a good place to be... We are to pray for Israel and stand with her against her enemies. Pray for America that we will stand with Israel and bless her. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem that it would be well with our family and friends. Ask God to give you eyes to see and ears to hear, so you can turn to a God and be healed. Blessed are those with eyes to see and ears to hear... Psalm 122:6-9 NLT[6] Pray for peace in Jerusalem. May all who love this city prosper. [7] O Jerusalem, may there be peace within your walls and prosperity in your palaces. [8] For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, May you have peace. [9] For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek what is best for you, O Jerusalem. Psalm 46:4-11 NLT[4] A river brings joy to the city of our God, the sacred home of the Most High. [5] God dwells in that city; it cannot be destroyed. From the very break of day, God will protect it. [6] The nations are in chaos, and their kingdoms crumble! Gods voice thunders, and the earth melts! [7] The Lord of Heavens Armies is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress. Interlude [8] Come, see the glorious works of the Lord: See how he brings destruction upon the world. [9] He causes wars to end throughout the earth. He breaks the bow and snaps the spear; he burns the shields with fire. [10] Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world. [11] The Lord of Heavens Armies is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress. Interlude Proverbs 20:12 NLT[12] Ears to hear and eyes to see- both are gifts from the Lord. Acts 28:26-27 NLT[26] Go and say to this people: When you hear what I say, you will not understand. When you see what I do, you will not comprehend. [27] For the hearts of these people are hardened, and their ears cannot hear, and they have closed their eyes- so their eyes cannot see, and their ears cannot hear, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and let me heal them. Matthew 13:11-15 NLT[11] He replied, You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not. [12] To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them. [13] That is why I use these parables, For they look, but they dont really see. They hear, but they dont really listen or understand. [14] This fulfills the prophecy of Isaiah that says, When you hear what I say, you will not understand. When you see what I do, you will not comprehend. [15] For the hearts of these people are hardened, and their ears cannot hear, and they have closed their eyes- so their eyes cannot see, and their ears cannot hear, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and let me heal them. Matthew 13: 16-17 [16] But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. [17] I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, but they didnt see it. And they longed to hear what you hear, but they didnt hear it.
