Living Theurgy is an amalgam of sorts. You will find it filled with scholarship. I am a professional scholar as well as a writer. However, unlike many scholarly treatises, I do not approach the subject as one filled with some kind of “anthropological atheism” or “methodological agnosticism.” Nor, however, is it coming from a “method of compassion.” All of these represent the viewpoints of scholars standing outside of what they study, attempting to grasp foreign ideas without being grasped in return. The idea of this being at all possible is somewhat difficult. The Western academic system is a product of Platonism, and everyone within it engages with Plato in some manner, even if it is through rejection. Without Platonism there is no academy.
