Living deeply…here’s one of the most interesting thoughts that came out of the group coaching session: when you communicate with those around you, would you say that you really communicate or do you just talk, listen, and reply? Here is what I mean…. true communication is all about clearing the mind from most distractions, which means being in the present moment and engaging in the conversation at hand. This is why I find this point most fascinating; most people who think they are communicating, are really just engaged in a one-way interaction, typically because during the listening phase, we’re preparing our reply so as soon as they are finished, we can get our point in so we can be heard. We’ve all been in those conversation where we just know that you’re not truly being heard, and I am sure we’ve all been in those other times when the person you’re talking to is so engaged, you leave feeling that much better about yourself and your situation. That…is the magic of teaching yourself to become present and engaged; it’s a win-win exercise. Sweet!
