Living in Vermont seems to be one adventure after another! Chewie was out of food so this afternoon I set out to the only pet store that carries the food he eats within quite a distance. It was snowing lightly, if at all. Then when I got to Barre it started really coming down--still no problem for a native New Englander, until I started fish tailing. About halfway home I pulled over to let the line of trucks behind me by and one of them pulled over too. He jumped out of the truck came over to the car and noticed I had been fish tailing and offered to follow me back to Bradford in case I had any trouble. For 15 miles this kind stranger named Dave followed me to make sure I got back to Main St. safely. When I pulled over, he pulled over. He made sure he was far enough behind me so that if I started to fish tail or lost control he had time to stop. The blessings of rural ministry keep coming!
