Living with pain is very difficult, as there are many times when there is no way possible for me to get rid of it or be comfortable enough just to relax. Having physical pain can be a constant obstacle for many people, including myself. Instead of remaining angry or frustrated, I try to create soothing options to mitigate the pain, like soaking in a hot bathtub or by taking deep breaths. One thing I have to learn to live with is managing the pain. ~ Angela Pierce, IDA 2012 Perseverance Award Honoree - invisibledisabilities.org/awardrecipients/2012-ida-honor-awards-recipients/2012-perseverance-award-angela-pierce/ Climbing the Mountain of Pain Management by Angela Pierce - invisibledisabilities.org/coping-with-invisible-disabilities/pain-management/ The 8th Annual P.A.I.N. Summit (Preparing Against Intrusive Neuropathy) hosted by the Power of Pain Foundation. This event provides a great avenue to pain education for providers, patients and their caregivers. This year’s conference consists of an exhibit area and educational sessions that focus on better diagnosis and treatment options for pain patients, motivational presentations, chronic pain issues (as a whole) and an integrative approach to pain care. powerofpain.org/2014-pain-summit/ The IDA Team Invisible Disabilities Association InvisibleDisabilities.org IDA Communities: InvisibleDisabilitiesCommunity.org IDA Social Media: Facebook/InvisibleDisabilities https://plus.google/+InvisibleDisabilitiesOrganization Twitter/InvDisabilities Facebook/InvisibleNoMoreTV IDA Videos: youtube/InvisibleDisability YouTube/InvisibleNoMoreTV IDA Special Projects: CleanerIndoorAir.org InvisibleHero.org InvisibleNoMore.TV Programs4People InvisibleDisabilitiesWeek.org powerofpain.org/2014-pain-summit/
