Load shedding in Ramadan (fasting) irked people in urban and rural areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA. Due to excessive power outage, fasters are facing many problems while social and economic activities have already been affected in the region due to prolonged loadshedding. “Government departments including Tesco are not dealing us as human beings and legitimate citizens of Pakistan”, Arshad Khan, a political activist of ANP faction in Mohmand Agency said adding the step motherly treatment of Tesco forced the inhabitants to come on roads in Ekkaghund and register their protest. Government has no long-term planning to overcome long-standing energy crisis in the country by launching any mega projects like big dams to store water and generate power. People of different walks of life including students are suffering greatly from excessive load shedding. Business activities have practically come to an end in Fata due to load shedding, he maintained.
