Loadshedding Schedule Mbombela: Mbombela Local Municipality‘s supply area is affected only in Blocks 1, 3 & 10 of Eskom’s loadshedding schedule. Block 1: Substation Affected: Nelsrivier, Areas affected: Riverside precinct, Elawini, Drum Rock, Ridge Hill, Kiaat Hospital, Casino, Government Complex & The Grove Block 3: Substation Affected: Rocky’s Drift, Areas affected: Rocky’s Drift, White River & Country Estates Block 10: Substation Affected: Delta, Areas affected: Steiltes area, Vintonia, Riverside Industrial, Valencia, Orchards, Nelsville, Kamagugu, Water Works, CBD, Village Spar, Crossings Spar, Show Grounds, Croc Valley area & Bateleur Estates Eskom has 3 stages of loadshedding, depending on the seriousness of the power crisis, more blocks will be shed. In Stage 1 only the blocks under S1 will be shed, in Stage 2 the blocks under S1 & S2 will be shed, In stage 3 the blocks under S1, S2, S3A & S3B will be shed. Example: In Stage 1: Day Block Timeslot Saturday/Sunday: Block 10 20:00 to 22:30, In Stage 2: Everything in Stage 1 plus: Day Block Timeslot Saturday/Sunday: Block 1 06:00 to 08:30 & Saturday/Sunday: Block 3 10:00 to 12:30 In Stage 3: (Very Slim possibility only) Everything in Stage 1&2 plus: Day Block Timeslot Saturday/Sunday: Block 10 08:00 to 10:30 Saturday/Sunday: Block 1 12:00 to 14:30 Saturday/Sunday: Block 3 16:00 to 18:30 Forecast: The probability of Stage 2 is high over the weekend from 07:00 to 21:00 on Saturday and from 08:00 to 21:00 on a Sunday. Therefore the above in RED is likely. Exceptions: In the event that Loadshedding commences only after the first hour of the specific Block has lapsed the next block may be taken out earlier. In the event that the Breaker fails to open remotely the Block may be taken out slightly later.
