Local Councils Keep Spending On What THEY Want But Not On What WE Need!!! Lets not forget the massive £153,000 spend last year, by Derbyshire County Council, on having the luxury of a London based PR company to plan their communication process! Most successful businesses would find this type of spend extremely frivolous, many would use existing in house resources instead of outsourcing! In addition to this three extra vacancies were advertised, for a further three Communication Officers, on 22k salaries, to add to the councils existing team of fourteen?! Anne Western, Derbyshire County Council has recently been heard on Peak 107 local radio stating what a tough year it had been for local cuts, these words are meaningless from a council who cuts then spends on non essential vanity projects! What about putting our elderly, disabled and vulnerable on the top of their spending list? Its time our local councils were much more accountable to local people on what and where they spend tax payers money! Much more public consultation needs to take place, with a much larger cross section of local people providing opinions, and their voices being heard. Our councils need to be challenged, UKIP councillors will aim to do this to ensure our councils serve local people and not their own interests! Its time for real change in Derbyshire, many more local people are disallusioned with Labour locally and nationally. Voting for UKIP will make a real difference in your local area, the peoples party will always put your interests first!
