Local Hood News Commentary; The bible dont mention anything about BUNNY RABBITS, EASTER EGGS, OR KIDS HUNTING FOR EGGS. The word EASTER is not mention. According to some Christian theologians EASTER was a traditional pagan celebration. It might make more sense to say, perhaps in theory, the Rabbits and Eggs came from Noahs Ark. (Just kidding) Lets continue... So how does EASTER fit into the resurrection of Christ? We traditionally celebrate EASTER when in fact it falls on different days which tells me HISTORICALLY we dont actually know the exact date of Jesus crucifixion, although some Biblical scholars had hitherto agreed that Jesus was crucified on a Friday near Passover, under Pontius Pilate (26 – 36 AD). The most often suggested date was Friday April 3, 33 AD. If thats the theory than why do we continue celebrating on SUNDAY which is not the actually Sabbath day. (which is another story) Your Thoughts?
