Location: Mill Pond in Horseshoe Bend Date/time: 7/28 830am Weather/temp: topped out at 98 by the time we left. Sunny and scattered clouds. Water condition: normal pond, murky. Successful bait: worms, spinners, plastics Unsuccessful bait: none Species caught: largemouth, smallmouth, and bluegill. Number of fish: 25ish Hours spent fishing: 5 hours Summary: never been there before so I didnt know what to fish for. Fought the first 2 hard but didnt know what they were. Once I realized they were decent largemouth I switched up and targeted them with plastics and so the pesky bluegill couldnt bug me. Lost a few, but its hit and miss on how you set the hook with a Texas rig. But you need to go weed less there. All and all a great spot with the exception of the 5 kids walking around the pond doing nothing but screaming obscenities and making perverted comments at my girlfriend in her bikini...
