Logistic Officer-Baghdad International Rescue Committee Under the direct supervision of Sr. Logistics officer; the logistics officer is responsible to provide support and assistant to the IRC staff and programs in matters related to logistics and procurement. The duties of the Logistic officer can be summarized (but not limited to) below: Major Responsibilities: • Assisting the program and other staff in raising PRs and provide them with estimated prices as required. • Working on the open PRs and give the priority to the urgent ones, and make sure that the items requested are delivered to the requester(s). • Collecting bids, preparing bid analysis, POs, Delivery Reports and making Payment Requests. • Coordinate with Finance Department to make sure the payments delivered to the suppliers. • All procurement is correctly documented so that: 1. The Program Manager / Customer is consistently informed on the process of his/her request and delivery 2. The procurement process and resultant financial transaction is accountable. • Make all the hotel and air flight bookings for IRC staff and make sure all accommodation are provided for IRC guests and staff from other regions, offices visiting IRC Iraq. • Providing support and training to logistics new staff in matters related to Logistics and procurement as required. • Responsible of office and Guest Houses maintenance. • Participate and provide logistics support for trainings, conferences and seminars held by IRC. • Responsible and make sure that Generators are functioning well and keeping them in good condition. • Supervise the drivers and update schedule of vehicle movements. • All procurement requests are processed in timely and transparent way. • All medium to large requests are properly tendered within the available vendor base. Note: This position will require frequent travel to central and Southern governorates. Skills • Full and Clean Drivers License. • Three years of prior professional experience in a similar post. • Ability to work independently • Good interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills • Ability to maintain the highest degree of discretion • Ability and willingness to work and travel throughout Iraq. • High standard of spoken and written Arabic.
