Lola is officially saved. I just picked her up from the shelter. Boy if any dog needed to be saved it was her! You cant see it in her grateful face here but she is in rough shape. So very sweet and let me do whatever I wanted while bathing and checking her over. She just looks at you with a face of pure thanks! As most of you know, I work with Suncoast Basset Rescue a lot. They have been the most supportive group of people ever. I strive to be as great of a rescue as SBR. Kathy Peacock is the director of SBR and very much like me, she has a huge heart for senior dogs. She messaged me today that should would personally foster her. I had tears. This has been literally keeping me up at night knowing she was down there just waiting for us. We have never left one behind before over the past 5 years but I dreaded this would be the first time. Lola will be headed to Kathy down in Lakeland soon. For now she is safe, clean,warm, and very much loved already at my house.
