We’re here to have fun, be competitive with a scale appearing hobby! 2) MOTORS: All brushless and brushed motors and electronic speed controls must be designated for 1/10th scale, ground use. No airplane, helicopter, or boat speed controls or motors will be allowed. Strictly Castle Creations esc and motors are allowed. All motors must utilize a 540 size can. No out runner or 550 size motors will be allowed. All 540 brushed motors are allowed and there will be no motor limit for brushed motors in any class. 3) Battery: Max LiPo battery prices are as follows; 2s=$110, 3s=$150, 4s=$220. All battery prices can be changed based off the retail prices for that year. NIMH and NICD are allowed to run as long as the voltage of the pack is less than that of the maximum allowed LiPo battery. LiPo battery packs must be a single battery pack. NO use of additional battery packs for parallel, series, or series parallel will be allowed. 4) All vehicles must maintain a scale appearance and will be subject to Presidents discretion and review (i.e. no big tractor fenders on a 2wd truck and Body wheelwells must match tires). 5) The “Overall Length” of any vehicle is measured from the furthest most part extending forward to the furthest most part of the rear of the vehicle. Event Rules 1) HAVE FUN!!!! We’re here to have fun, this is a hobby! 2) There will be a limit on the number of vehicles that one person can enter per class. One Person can enter 2 vehicles per class. If you are a team, consisting of at least 2 “Father/Son” you can enter 4 vehicles per class. 3) A $10 entry fee, per person and $5 additional per additional family member, will be assessed at each regular event and must be paid at time of check in. If the club’s fund is at a sufficient level, the President may waive fees for an event. 4) Each class must have a minimum of 2 pullers to have an official class. 5) Pullers will draw numbers for pulling order 6) A pull will be considered over when forward motion stops. The driver must stop immediately when flagged or be disqualified. Drivers must find a good spot to stand to watch their vehicle. All drivers must not walk or vastly change position while the vehicle is in motion, or the driver will be disqualified. 7) If a sled malfunctions, the puller may drop five (5) positions or drop to the end of the class. The driver may not move any weight or they will be disqualified. The driver will only be allowed to work on the vehicle if the malfunction resulted in damage to the driver’s vehicle. 8) A driver may restart his pull (only once) provided they have not passed the 10 foot mark. This can be for any mechanical issues, outside interference, or to adjust the case weights. The driver can call for 3 minutes, but will be disqualified if the pull is not restarted by the end of the 3 minutes requested. 9) All pulling vehicles must pass a tech inspection, immediately before their class starts. All requirements must be met before they can pull. A table will be provided for inspection vehicles to be placed during their class. All vehicles will be weighed before each pull. You will be allowed to change weights after you have placed your vehicle on the “tech” table, however, each driver should ensure that their vehicle is ready to run, prior to tech inspection. Any driver has the right to call for a tech inspection of any vehicle, at any time. (Timeline: Get your vehicle ready, set your weights, and weigh your vehicle. Bring your vehicle to the Technical Director’s table to have it inspected and weighed. Once cleared, either head to the track for your pull, or place your vehicle on the table provided. No going back to the pits with vehicle after tech and before class pulls. The driver is responsible for having their vehicle checked utilizing enough time before their run. Otherwise, the tech will take place during their 3 minute rule. If a driver still fails to tech, the driver will forfeit that pull.) 10) The Presidents decisions are final. There is no appeal process. Improper conduct due to a disagreement will cause the driver to be asked to leave and the driver will forfeit all points earned for that day. 11) The driver may spot the sled anywhere in bounds and behind starting line if they wish. Only one sled spotting is allowed. 12) For mechanical reasons, a driver can call for 3 minutes. If the driver is unable to fix the problem within 3 minutes, the driver will forfeit that pull. 13) If any part of your truck/tractor touches out of bounds line during the pull, the truck/tractor will not score a pull distance and only be awarded the 5 hook points for that pull. After 30ft mark there is no OB. 14) The first puller in each class will be the test puller. Test puller may have to repull “IF” weight on sled is reset. Sled weight set after first two pullers. The test puller may accept their distance, come immediately back, or drop five (5) positions in the pulling order. The test puller may drop to last place in the pulling order for mechanical breakage or reweighted sled. The test puller must inform the track official of their decision before leaving the track. 15) The length of the vehicle’s pull will be the amount of points earned for that pull. (Full pull of 30 feet will award 30 points. A pull of 23.6 feet will award 23.6 points.) During a pull-off, additional points for that session will be accrued. (Example: If 5 trucks are in a pull off, the 1st place truck will get 5 points added to his original 30 points, 2nd place will get 4 points, 3rd place will get 3 points, 4th place will get 2 points, and 5th place will get 1 point.) The amount of points available for the “pull-off” trucks or tractors will be based off of how many vehicles are in the pull-off. (3 in a pull off max 3 points, etc.) 16) In a pull-off each driver will hook in the order that they pulled in original class lineup. No dropping of positions is allowed in a pull-off. 17) Any driver that is not pulling in the current class must help with sled movement and placement. In addition, any driver not pulling in the current class must also help with track maintenance. Must help with clean up of the event after the event is completed. All pullers must be ready to go when your class is running. 18) Head track official may reset the sled for class efficiency (add or subtract weight). The sled must be set after 3rd puller. CHEATING: ANY violation of the above rules will warrant an immediate disqualification and a forfeit of any points earned for that pulling event. Violations, such as chain twisting, changing of rotors (inside otherwise marked cans), or disguising multiple battery packs to appear as one battery pack will warrant disqualification also.
