Long Trieu Porsche enthusiast...devils advocate I was going to wait a bit longer to do a write up about one of our most valued members long trieu. When I do a post long chimes in with his point of view and significant automotive knowledge. I love this because it gives me a chance to debate with someone who has a completely different way of viewing cars in the automotive landscape. Driving many different porsches from the 1980s whale tail turbo a car that debuted after the legendary porsche 959... a car that has paved the way for all the modern conveniences we take for granted to the 914...968...944 and my all time favorite 930 slant nose....I have to agree with long on the superior build quality...fit and finish and chassis dynamics of germanys hyper beetle. Dr ferry porsche the son of ferdinand porsche took the indestructible design of the volkswagen flat 4 and created the iconic 356 spyder...a car so light that the pancake 4 was sufficient enough to beat cars with far larger and more powerful engines. Ferry starting out in the sportcar business reling on volkswagens beetle for creating the most iconic german supercar the porsche 911. Streamlined and packing a highly tuned pancake 6....the porsche 911 was extremely fast with half the power.....Unfortunately not all things are perfect and the engine placement was not for the un gifted and ham fisted and soon amateur drivers began wrapping the 911 around trees and any other solid object that marked territory like the bloods and the crips. Today the 911 is almost goof proof and most unskilled drivers can venture into places where movies stars have cemented a permanent burial plot. If you read this far you might have noticed this became more about the 911 and not enough about long trieu......well that was my intent because long deserves a far better write up when I get to know him better. For right now you at least know why the blacklist will never be boring... Because long trieu plays devils advocate and thats what being on the blacklist is all about.....thinking for yourself
