Long distance relationships are like teaching. The first two years are winged, and fly away as quick as a blink. Yet they are full of excitement, adventure, thrill, grand future plans and novelty. The third year is like when after an intense sea storm, your boat finally finds calm waters. But theres no fun in calm waters. You wish to quit the sea and adapt land a few times during the course, but every time you think of quitting, the memory of the storm maddeningly pierce through the heart, and threatens it with a void so dark, that you as good as leave the thought alone. Then comes the menacing fourth year. The toil of three years of work has crushed and extracted the very oil out of you. It is just a responsibility now and an extremely boring one. It becomes the hump of a hunchback. You must drag it along and try to look satisfied about it. The future plans get to the trashcan. You try and look for all sorts of other activities just to keep your mind off it, yet you think of abandoning it every single day. ...
