Long, long, flight 4,000 nautical miles, from Amman, Jordan over - TopicsExpress

Long, long, flight 4,000 nautical miles, from Amman, Jordan over the Indian Ocean and across India, in our (huge) AirBus 330. (Flying across India, is like driving through Texas, takes all day.) Sunrise did come up like thunder, bursting in through the window. The snake trail of the sacred Ganges plainly visible from 40,000 feet; the escarpments of the mighty Himalayas passed below, Mount Everest hidden in cloud; across the Bay of Bengal as smooth as silk, to the exotic east. Bruce started up the Harley Davidson (snoring) some time in the wee small hours; a flight attendant shone a light in my face to wake me up LOL. Bangkok is huge, looks like LA crammed into the Bolsa Chica Wetlands; on steroids. Its 28 C in Thailand with light rain, a little warmer than the 10 C dry desert air of Jordan. Flight delayed because of bad weather and they meant it; heavy turbulence due to thunder storm activity flung our tiny A 320 up and down like a yo yo; the little Thai girl next to me grabbed my hand; Bruce loved it! Arrived Phuket 8:00 PM local time in heavy rain that steamed away in the cooling night air; now the one hour Taxi drive ($30 US) from the Airport to the Ferb Guest House, Patong Beach, thank you Terry Baker! Update: Showered and slept like a rock for 10 hours. Starving! Last meal (smoked salmon, Royale Ziegler, on the airplane) had the large, think normal size, they are small people, American breakfast, bacon & eggs (YES) with potatoes and baked beans (thats actually English) with real coffee. We shall not cease from exploration .... Volume up Tess Kincaid: youtube/watch?v=j5HFVo7KmaA
