Long, long, long day! A three hour boat trip to James Island and Juffureh and another three hours back. Gave a short series of inspirational lectures on James Island about enslavement. Went in the dungeon where Kunte Kinteh is supposed to have been kept. Had a very nice exchange with Sizzla and another with Mutabaruka. Sizzla gave me one of his CDs and I gave him two of my DVDs. I think that we are going to be able to do some good work together. But the most important thing about today is that I got the chance to spend virtually the entire day with Dr. Julius Garvey. We have really bonded and he told me things about his father Marcus Garvey that I never heard before and the same about Amy Jacques Garvey. It was priceless. Tomorrow I give my big lecture! Bless!
