Long post: Our previous edition of the book had a couple of typing errors and so we are withdrawing it from sale (meaning that all copies purchased so far are now a limited edition run). We have released an updated version of the book and are delighted to confirm that we are also (Emma and Danny) now working on a range of merchandise too! We will have a series of Quartz Valley books, a range of matching merchandise and continue with the EAJ-award for illustration annually at HOW College. Just to confirm Both Danny and I (Emma) will continue to equally share royalties and the Dyspraxia Foundation will continue to have a 20% donation of royalties / merchandise profits too on all Quartz Valley items. The Lilac Story included the following contributors: Authored by Miss Emma Austin-Jones, Illustrated by Mr Danny Phillips, Foreword by Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP, Assisted by Miss Cat Lammas, Supplement by Dyspraxia Foundation, EAJ-award runs at HOW College Art Dept Bromsgrove, Judging panelists for the EAJ-award were: Denise Bonham, Stephen Mountford, Sharon Vass, Pete Collins, Holly Stockham, Cat Lammas, Angela and Chloe Timothy, Michele Clack, Janey Hewitt, Sharon from RL&LWG. Launch music will be provided by Bromsgrove School Music. Launch takes place at Tardebigge Community Hall with Tardebigge first school, on 17th October 2014 1:30pm - 3:30pm (readings for children will be all day). I am happy to announce the voluntary appointment of Mark Pettifer as our (much needed and very welcome) artist mentor / liaison for this years award competitors. This years judging panelists will now include the very talented Lyn Perkins teacher / librarian at Meadows School Northfield and talented felt artist at The Old Needleworks, we are delighted she can join us. Please order your copy of our first book in the Quartz Valley series via the link address below: CreateSpace eStore: https://createspace/5025014 If you did purchase a copy of our previous edition (with the typing mistakes) we are happy to supply you with a label signed by the author and illustrator to stick in your limited edition copy. Please do get in touch and let us know. We will require you to send a self addressed and stamped envelope.
