Long status warning! October has been the most hectic month of this year for me. With trying to get LTrains EP release going along with dealing with all the issues that any business has as you set up shop like funding and legal, really overwhelmed me. However, I wouldnt take back this month for the world. I have learned so much this month about my work ethic. I learned that overworking yourself is not a sign of strength. Only because when you overwork yourself you loose sight of what your goals are. I guess I was just so use to doing at as a college student that I brought that work ethic into my music career and it didnt work. Before you plan on doing anything within a career, you must have a plan. A plan composed of short and long term goals. Along with dates. As simple as that is for some of you do, it hasnt been for me. I always fight myself on wether being a musician is worth the effort. Wether all this time that Im spending will be worth it. However, I tend to forget that Im not doing this for the money, or even for the fans so much (even though my band wouldnt exist without you guys). I play music for me, for my enjoyment physically and spiritually. I have very big plans for next year and now that Ive gone through all the bullshit that one does in their early 20s , now I can finally say I have real goals that I want to accomplish. So I leave you kids with this; Go do whatever it is you want to do and the money will follow. If you do it well. Dont make excuses about having to pay a bill this week or whatever, take the risk now! But have a plan! And stick to it. Envision your goals and forget about your status in society because all that shit doesnt matter. The only thing that matters is your happiness. Along with the happiness of your friends and family. Cheers.
