Long-time Village Theatre member John Smith has died. John and Jane moved away from Waterdown several years ago, but came back often. Anyone who ever saw John act will remember how he lit up the stage with his presence. His comic timing was impeccable! When he played Creon to my Antigone our nightly battle gave me goosebumps. Special thanks to the oncology nursing staff for their never ending support over the last two weeks. Memorial service at St. John the Evangelist Church, 320 Charlton Ave. W., Hamilton, on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 1 p.m., with a reception to follow in the Church Hall.
