Longish post coming. First off thanks again to all of those who came to the ottobar show. We have the entire set up on this youtube page for any who missed it / want to watch it again / show your friends. We recently went on our first tour with Auto Da-Fé and we learned a lot about what it means to try to be a musician. We played to a few empty rooms. We made big mistakes. We drove in blizzards. We snuck into hotels. We had people call us a pretentious band that just pushes buttons. We also had a lot of fun getting a taste of how rewarding it can be to do this for a living. So I just wanted to thank you all for coming out or buying a shirt or in any other way supporting this dream. Well be going into writing hibernation for the next few months to finish out this album and clean what needs cleaning. All in all over the tour, after expenses we made about 600 dollars. This is enough to cover either mastering of our debut album which we hope to have out by the end of the summer. Well be going into writing hibernation for the next few months to finish out this album and clean what needs cleaning. For those of you who dont know, we try to be as egalitarian as possible in our process. We bring each other ideas and shape them into they reflect all of our individual personalities. This means slow progress, but is ultimately the way that i personally (And i think the other guys as well) find most rewarding. Im happy to be a partner in such an ambitious project and thankful for all the opportunities and close friendships this band has afforded me. I see this project as one that will be constantly evolving and growing as time goes on, and Im proud of what weve accomplished so far. Do I think that its perfect? Hell no, i think we have a long hard road ahead of us that is filled with emotionally, physically, and spiritually taxing obstacles but i look forward to facing every challenge with music i believe in. Thank you to Mark Kent NavarroScott SekercanAntoni J Staiti for helping me realize the music that to me is so liberating. Thank you to my parents Jay Herzog and Donna Fox and wonderful girlfriend Lena Kathleen McBean for the support. Thank you to Auto Da Fe for booking these gigs and supplying the world with plenty of boner jams. Thank you to the many people who have taught me lessons that have stuck with me, whether you or I realize it, and whether they were musical or otherwise. Hope to see you all this summer when we have a tighter live set and a full album of music out. Also this is the last post I will make about my band for a while now. My facebook presence has been more so than usual. So I apologize and will go away after this. -Asher
