Lonnie Poindexter The epitome of style, grace, genius, strength and tenacity. He exhibited greatness and poise under intense pressure. I think he best represents what it means to be an American, and in particularly a black American. Nat King Cole……. Other than my old man, this is the man I still look to emulate. In short he was an overcomer, a class act. While folks quibble over the false narrative. This man showed how you overcome in spite of the obstacles thrown in your path, and without sacrificing your dignity in the process. And he did this during a time when there was true second class citizenship for those with his paint job. Where are the modern day Nat King Coles? Or are we stuck with the likes of Sharpton, et al?
