Look at this beauty, the Lamborghini Huracan which we journalists were privy to this afternoon at a preview. There are only 8 of its kind in the world and two are owned by private collectors in Singapore. It costs around Euros1.6million and, in Singapore, it can only be driven on a race track as its left hand drive. What an undeniably wonderful marriage of high art with higher technology, reminding one that man cannot live by bread alone. But How many meals can Euros1.6million buy I wondered after the media preview when a friend who sponsors a school lunch programme in India sent me a video that begged the existential question I just asked...Pl watch it youtube/watch/?v=dYRNAE4tPnQ the short film shows us that there are many things that Rupees 750 cannot buy (certainly not a Lamborghini) but it can feed once child the midday meal for an entire academic year.
