We know that it was a stressful environment and so we are not suggesting that the working dogs were fraudulent, but the fact remains that Elphaba was barked at several times and snapped at twice by a chihuahua in the store. Given the issues with the situation, we found a manager and asked permission to use a cart. We lined it with a clean blanket and two pillows we were buying and Elphie road around with us. She seemed to think it was pretty cool! All those fussy people also made it super hot and she had to shed her vest. You should have seen her - she was a star! She even had a toy elephant (that grey thing), a bowl of ice water, and a bone. Afterwards, we removed everything and sanitized the cart before returning it. We want to be very clear about what is going on here, and to ensure that everyone knows this would not be normal practice for us.
