Look here: I do NOT support the destruction and violence in Ferguson. Nor do I feel like Michael Brown was without fault or even primarily responsible for what happened to him (however: I also dont feel like killing him was justified, either. Even shooting him.). But go ahead and watch this video. And make sure you go all the way through it (not the commentary afterwards, unless you want to). And tell me that Ferguson isnt part of a LARGER conversation. Its time, guys. Its time to come to grips with this very simple truth: we dont see each other equally. We dont treat each other in a Christian way. Nobody treats their brother less than they themselves want to be treated. Nobody treats someone they respect less than they want to be treated. There is an issue in America. Its not just a white issue, to be sure. Ive heard many of my friends who arent white say theyve seen the same things in their respective communities of people. We need to think and not react. THINK and not REACT. For Gods sake... arent we smarter than THIS??? Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
