Look sometimes its hard to not let peoples comments and opinions bring me down. But I have to stand firm on the fact that so many people told me my song would not work at all. So many people!!But so far its been incredible. A debut at number 24? , just played on one of the most important radio stations in the world at prime time and they played the whole song? . So it really makes me think about peoples opinions and how to receive them. Im very sensitive. I know that Im a sensitive person altogether. However I know that sensitive people have a gift. Because I am sensitive I can feel things that other people cannot feel, I am in tune with marketing on a different level. And Ive grown to understand what popular opinion is, and popular opinion and someones personal egocentric opinion are very different. Someone might see something in a certain way and make a statement, that opinion is often clouded by underlying emotions some of which they are not in touch with. No one readily admits they are jealous or scared. Why would they want to admit that? So their opinion is kind of a Trojan horse, its an opinion that comes with a little form of a weapon inside of it. Maybe not because intentionally they want to stifle you, its their fear-based mentality and jealousy thats tied in like a soup with their opinion. So its important to know whose opinion to listen to, and to still try to be open to all of the opinions for whatever information is there in regards to how youre trying to market something. But I cant tell you how many marketing expertstell me how I should do things, and they have nothing going on for themselves. So I have to remember to trust myself, Im the captain now!!!
