Look, we all have hobbies and things we enjoy. Mtg is one of my favorite hobbies since I started playing it last year. It helps keep me from dulling down as quickly as most people who dont use critical thinking on a relatively regular basis. some people would argue that its childish or stupid, but I think sitting down and mindlessly gawking at the tv is stupid if you do it frequently. This game has a great community of players (speculators be dammed) who are willing to go out of their way to help each other. I gave away well over 100 dollars in cards at least twice now to people who had just started playing so they would have some building blocks to work with. Look its not perfect and it sure as hell isnt cheap, but its better for people to get hooked on magic and other table top games than heroine or meth.
