Looking at imperfection is sometimes the most beautiful and - TopicsExpress

Looking at imperfection is sometimes the most beautiful and priceless thing. Being able to love someone elses, accept someone elses, is even more beautiful. Like looking at a piece of old drift wood on a river bank. Yes its dried out, cracked, withered and not something you think youd like at first glance. But if you take a moment you know that its come a long way, the broken edges, the chips and all its paleness from wear and tear give it character. It was a worn and ragged beauty, way more interesting than some polished piece of wood you could find at a store to buy off of a shelf. Itself defines what it really is, and what it is not. There is one person in particular who I love, accept and admire in the same and similar way. Ive found one of the most beautiful imperfections in the form of a man, it always strikes new curiosity in me as to why this one in particular has nagged so hard on my heart. Out of all the drift wood I stumbled on this one. But, I really like this one, its pretty and really cool, way more interesting than all the others. Mom, can I keep it?
