Looking at the latest data coming in, travel looks dicey from I-95 - west come Wednesday morning (as early as 8A-9A). I think snow will begin to mix with rain by daybreak, and begin to transition to heavy snow by 10AM from Northern Virginia to the I-95 corridor. If enough heavy snow persists, some slushy roads will be in the mix. To name a couple major corridors that appear slushy/slick by 11AM... the GW Parkway north of I-66, and the Beltway from Colesville Road counter clockwise or traveling along the outer loop through Northern Virginia, to West Alexandria. Areas east of there should still experience enough of a rain/snow mix to limit any build-up on the roads, especially the most travelled ones. This quick moving storm exits through the afternoon and should be done by late afternoon/evening. Heaviest snow will occur from the Catoctins, to the Blue Ridge, to the Shenandoah Valley region. As of right now, I could still see 6+ in that general area, and Ill try and define some more on exactly what you should expect at your house.
