Looking at the upcoming storm this week. Looks like the timing is going to be a multiple day storm from Tuesday Morning to Thursday Night event. As for precipitation and amounts looks like its going to be a mixed bag and NOT a two foot snow event as some others are saying. Right now looks like the storm starts as an ice and rain event turning to a sleet and freezing rain then snow. How much dry air works into the storm is going to determine how much precipitation we end up getting. Looks like right now snow accumulations will be on the range of 3-6 in the valley with 5-10 in the higher elevations with the highest snow totals happening in the very northeastern parts of the area (Northern Wayne and Northern Pike counties). This is a preliminary forecast and will be tweaked the next 48 hours any changes we will let you know!
