Looking back I only had one run in with the police and my skate ~ in Bakersfield a road called Chester Ave. , I lived in Oildale, the road that went to Oildale from Bakersfield. Cross town freeway has an on and off ramp there, it was faster to ride my board on the off ramp going opposite the traffic, run down an embankment, and Im 2 blocks from home on Roberts Ln. Well one night a Highway Patrol car was exiting as I was riding on that off ramp, he saw me, I saw him. Tires squealed to a stop and I jump down the embankment, I hit asphalt and turn to see the cop watching me, as I pushed me and my board away in glee, I had to flip him off! I hear tires squeal and the roar of a cop car engine, I push my board and go into a pump, heart begin to pound, wasnt sure why, just felt urgent. Another block and Im home! Just before Roberts Ln. Suddenly a bright light is in my face. It was the cop I got away from......... :) it was the cop I flipped off!!!!!!!! :( Yes, he handcuffed me, took my board, and took me to the station in Bakersfield. All along the way telling me skateboards are for troublemakers, when we got to the station, about 3 miles from where he cuffed me, he un-cuffs me and tells me to go home, I asked for my board, he looked at me and told me he wont ask again and told me to go home, I walked home, no skateboard underfoot, it took a while. Sure glad I didnt get arrested that night. I saved that for El Paso. Anybody got any cop stories? Lets here some or go make some, hahaha hahaha, and if anybody gets arrested, Aunt Ester will come down to get you out, if its alright.
